Welcome to Cybersecurity in 31 Days. I’m Malan Faya, your host. Today is Day 21. To view previous posts, click here.

Suspicious emails could be attempts to gather sensitive or confidential information. You need to be cautious about how you handle them.

If you receive a suspicious email that asks for sensitive or confidential information, whether it be personal information or workplace information, you should delete the email.

And if the email came from someone that you know or do business with, send an email back or call them directly to verify that they sent the email. Only send an email back if you are certain that it came from the email address of the person you know.
