“On 25 January 2019, the National Information Technology Development Agency (‘NITDA’) issued the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation 2019 (‘the Regulation). Although it is a subsidiary legislation, the Regulation has the force of law, having been issued in accordance with the mandate of the National Information Technology Development Agency Act 2007 (the ‘NITDA Act’).
